GET SMART is a dedicated group of agents (aka high-school students) who enjoy finding new and unconventional solutions to problems that they are faced with. They build a new robot each year for the FIRST Robotics Competition. Comprised of students from all backgrounds and cultures, the students enjoy what they do.

FIRST aims to inspire the love of science, technology, engineering and math into students around the world. The high action atmosphere of the FIRST Robotics Competition  provides an exciting way to experience engineering skills that students will use in the workforce. But why robots? Because robots are cool!!!

Mission Statement

We are the Columbia County FIRST Robotics team. We build robots through the application of the engineering-design process to compete in the FIRST Robotics competition each year. Our goal is to inspire an appreciation in mathematics and science technologies in mentors and students alike. We also strive to instill a sense of teamwork and professionalism as well as help students develop interests for their future.robot
